An environmental campaigner in Vanuatu has set her sights on a new target now the once ubiquitous plastic bag is a thing of the past in her country.
A government ban on single-use plastic shopping bags, polystyrene takeaway boxes and plastic straws came into effect last weekend.
The move to ban the bag started with a social media campaign on Facebook called NoPlastikBagPlis.
The campaign's co-founder Christelle Thieffry tells Dominic Godfrey the government's strong support and swift response, giving the country six months to prepare for the ban, was commendable.
