Over 250 people from the Samoan Community in Aotearoa gathered in Auckland on Sunday for a memorial service for two RSE workers who died along with their uncle in a horrific car crash on State Highway 1 two weeks ago (26 August).

The three victims were travelling to Auckland from the Bay of Plenty ahead of their return back to Samoa.

The crash happened just before 2pm between Ramarama and Bombay, and involved a truck and three other vehicles.

RNZ Pacific's Grace Fiavaai was at the service and has the story.
