Fiji's health authorities have started releasing infected mosquitoes in communities around Suva as part of efforts to fight diseases like dengue.
The mosquitoes carry the Wolbachia bacteria which guards against dengue, zika and chikungunyah.
Project coordinator for the World Mosquito Programme in Fiji Aminiasi Tavui says the release and montioring is taking place around the Lami to Nausori corridor around Suva.
He told Sally Round how the bacteria works.
