Hosting this year's APEC leaders summit can offer Papua New Guinea a chance to assert some leadership on pressing international trade issues.
That's according to the chairman of the APEC Secretariat, Alan Bollard, as PNG prepares to host the summit in two weeks
Dr Bollard told Johnny Blades that hosting APEC offers PNG a leading role at a time of internatinoal trade frictions, as well as digital opportunities to improve services.
