For the past 17 years the Global Fund has provided billions of dollars around the world to help overcome HIV, malaria and tuberculosis.
A significant amount of this aid goes into Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and other parts of the Pacific.
Former PNG first lady, Lady Roslyn Morauta, who is a vice chair of the Global Fund, says since 2002 the Pacific has received about $US366 million dollars in assistance.
