The fate of the badly burnt Chinese fishing vessel remains uncertain after eighteen crew were rescued over the weekend.
A New Zealand Airforce Orion discovered the vessel while on a routine fisheries patrol on Friday about 400 nautical miles west of Tuvalu.
The Director of the Fiji Maritime Surviellance Rescue Coordination Centre, Sairusi Colati, spoke to Jenny Meyer about co-ordinating the rescue operation.
