Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi told the 74th General Assembly his main message has been consistent during the 21 years he has attended sessions in New York.
He said in his speech that scientific evidence cannot be used selectively to suit certain agendas and it is misguided to portray the crisis as a small island developing states, or SIDS, issue only, when nothing is further from the truth.
