Pacific climate activists have demonstrated outside the Australian Parliament, calling for the government to cut ties with the local Minerals Council.
The group, 350 Pacific, set up a display outside the complex illustrating the destruction they say has been caused by the climate emergency.
The group says the Australian government needs to acknowledge the damage and immediately cease its support for the fossil fuel industry.
Patricia Mallam, from 350 Pacific, told Koro Vaka'uta what triggered the action.
