Now, you can have that chat in Samoan.
The artificially intelligent agent - which has been named 'Tala,' part of Project Talanoa - has been created by the consultancy Beca.
Its business director, Matthew Ensor, says language barriers have been significant when it comes to public consultation and community engagement.
He told Sela Jane Hopgood the AI will hopefully help overcome that, allowing for real-time interaction.
