E coli bacteria has been found in the tap water of some Tongan homes which draw their water from underground.
The bacteria was detected during a survey of household water and sanitation systems in Tongatapu's Hihifo.
Ben Robinson Drawbridge has been following the story and he told Koroi Hawkins the purpose of the survey.
