Solomons govt urges seasonal works to stay on in New Zealand

From , 6:00 am on 25 August 2020

The Solomon Islands government is urging its seasonal workers in New Zealand to stay on there if they are being offered jobs.

Since the start of the pandemic in March around four hundred workers have been repatriated.

However, there are still over 200 Solomon Islanders working in New Zealand under the Recognised Seasonal Employer scheme.

Solomon Islands Acting High Commissioner John Kemakeza has been visiting  these seasonal workers.
