An eminent Pacific economist thinks Covid-19 has shown the way that a Pacfic Super Rugby side could be viable.
Fijian academic, Dr Wadan Narsey, who for many years was teaching at the University of the South Pacific, is a long time advocate for a Pacific team in the Super Rugby competition.
His comments come amid a flurry of interest from various groups claiming to have the wherewithal to field a Pacific Island team in the competition.
Narsey accepts the previous arguments that the Pacific Islands might struggle to sustain a team but he told Don Wiseman that Covid-19 has changed that.
