The unemployment rate has dropped in New Zealand, but Māori, Pasifika and women are still over-represented.
In the three months ending last December unemployment figures show a decrease to 4.9 percent from 5.3 percent in the previous quarter.
However, New Zealand Council of Trade Unions economist Craig Renny says the data for groups such as Pasifika people is still high.
