The Vale nickel plant in New Caledonia is expected to reopen soon after being shut down in December amid unrest over its sale.
This follows an arrangement which appears to satisfy all parties and concludes months of acrimony.
A new structure, called Goro Resources, is to be set up which will allow the Brazilian-owned plant to go into New Caledonian ownership.
