Thousands of Samoans have been taking part in pre-polling heading into Friday's national election.
Our correspondent, Monica Miller, says there is a sense of excitement but also tension in Samoa as it is the first time in decades that the dominant Human Rights Protection Party has had the level of opposition being posed by the new Faatuatua I le Atua Samoa ua Tasi Party
It is also the first time that the Electoral Commission is announcing daily results from the pre-polling.
