The Kaiviti Silktails rugby league team are back home in Fiji and looking forward to reconnecting with family and friends once they have completed 14 days in quarantine.
The Fijian side relocated to Australia to compete in the Ron Massey Cup, after last year's competition was cancelled because of the pandemic.
The 2021 season was suspended last month following the Delta outbreak in Greater Sydney and officially abandonded on Tuesday.
Silktails Chief Executive Steven Driscoll told Vinnie Wylie the team achieved a lot in the last six months and are already planning ahead for next season.
