Cook Islands businesses welcome start of repatriation

From , 6:02 am on 9 October 2021

Cook Islands businesses have welcomed the start of repatriations from New Zealand.

The first flight since the start of the delta outbreak touched down in Rarotonga in the early hours of Friday morning.

It is understood 88 passengers were initially booked to travel all of whom are now undergoing seven days of supervised quarantine.

The new chairman of the Cook Islands chamber of commerce Phillip Henderson says it is a positive step and one they hope will eventually lead to the reopening of the travel bubble.

Kia ora Mr Henderson so finally some good news for the community but also businesses with repatriations now underway?
