Additional international medical support is being sought by Papua New Guinea to combat Covid-19.
The government has admitted it's been slow to react to the pandemic and also says people have been too complacent.
The level of vaccinations remains negligible placing huge pressure on the health system.
The World Health Organisation co-ordinates EMTs or Emergency Medical Teams in the country, and the organisation's Incident Manager in PNG, Angela Merianos, told Don Wiseman they are asking for more teams to be sent from overseas.
