The authors of new research looking at the lives of undocumented families in New Zealand say the country's strict immigration laws are unfair, unjust and cause life-long and inter-generational harm.
The Unitec report entitled - 'Hidden Gems - Lived Experiences of Tuvaluan Hope Seekers and Their Families in Aotearoa New Zealand' provides a rare glimpse into the lives of undocumented families.
It was conducted by Hoa Nguyen and David Kenkel with the assistance of the Tuvalu Auckland Community Trust.
