The Tonga Parliament has passed its new Budget just ahead of the July 1st deadline.
The Budget has a strong emphasis on infrastructure in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami last year.
Passed unanimously on Wednesday night it is a record budget at 784 million pa'anga and includes a record quantity of assistance from Tonga's donor partners.
About eight percent of the Budget has been allocated to begin the process of repaying foreign loans, the biggest of which is a loan from China.
