A new documentary on Rarotonga's mountains called Te Mekameka o te Pā Maunga will screen in the Māngere Arts Centre for Cook Islands language week.

The film maker Liam Koka'ua looked at five of Rarotonga's mountains, the legends surrounding the Maunga, the environment, and what significance they had for Cook Islanders in the past.

RNZ Pacific's Caleb Fotheringham has the story.
