The death toll in what has been described as Papua New Gunea's worst massacre in the last decade is expected to climb with more than 50 deaths already recorded.
Acting Police commander for Enga, Patrick Peka told RNZ Pacific's Lydia Lewis that the ongoing tribal fighting resulted in the deaths.
He says it's a very serious situation.
