The Pacific is again the big winner from the Australian aid programme in this year's budget.
The Australian aid spending in the coming year will be up slightly, reversing years of slow decline under the coalition, and the Pacific is getting a greater share.
RNZ Pacific's Don Wiseman spoke with Professor Stephen Howes of the Australian National University's Development Policy Centre about the aid allocations.
