The 13th Festival Pacific Arts and Culture launches this week in Hawaii Photo: Fest Pac Hawaii
This week the world's largest Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture, better known as 'Fest Pac' will be kicking off in Hawaii.
Launched in 1972, the focus of the festival was to halt the erosion of Pacific traditional practices through ongoing exchange.
Festpac has been hosted by different Pacific nations on a rotational basis.
RNZ Pacific's Tiana Haxton who is currently in Honolulu, spoke with Pacific Waves host Susana Suisuiki.
