Tonga's first female boxer to the Olympics says she'll be going 'all out' for the Pacific in Paris.

Fe'ofa'aki Epenisa or Aki is Tonga's lone boxing representative and while her presence at the Olympics will be groundbreaking - she has big shoes to fill as fellow Tongan boxer Paea Wolfgramm won a silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

However, the proud girl from Vava'u says she's excited to carry the pride of her people on the world stage.

RNZ Pacific's senior sports journalist Iliesa Tora spoke with Aki Epenisa.
