Fiji's reign as Olympic sevens gold medallists came to an end on Sunday morning, beaten 28-7 in the final at the Stade de France in Paris by host nation France.
Fiji opened the scoring in the second minute of the gold medal match, but that was the last time they scored as France ran in four tries of their own.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana's campaign got off to a less-than-ideal start with two losses.
