Remote Bougainville atolls left badly short of food

From Pacific Waves

The Carterets are one of the remotest parts of Papua New Guinea, and that's saying something.

The seven atolls, about the size of Niue, lie 86 kilometres to the northeast of the Bougainville mainland.

They have been suffering increasingly from sea level rise going back some years but the past few months have been particularly hard for them with flooding from King Tides in January.

Don Wiseman has been covering the story and joins us now.

Don how bad is the situation there now?
