Davina Zimmer

Davina Zimmer was born and raised in the heart of the King Country, in a small village called Owhango. A child of German immigrants, Davina was raised in a bilingual household. And completed her final year of primary school in Germany, moving from a lifestyle block in a rural village to a tiny apartment on the main street of Berlin.

A graduate of the University of Waikato, Davina went on to study at the NZ Broadcasting School and joined The Detail team as associate producer at the beginning of 2024.

Davina says she loves that her role gives her the opportunity to listen and learn about different topics The Detail covers from experts in the field.
