2:10 Gold Miner - Bert Scott - Most beachcombers looking for treasure in the sand are hoping to find an unusal shell or the odd bit of loose change. 85 year old Bert Scott prospects for gold on the shores around the Riverton coast in Southland. He caught gold fever about 25 years ago, and has been prospecting for the elusive metal ever since. Over the years he's found 100's of ounces of gold, but says most has gone to pay for his hobby. He's just acquired a battery operator sluice from the United States to help with the search.
2:20 Wild Horses - Vicki Wilson started riding horses at the very tender age of two...and her passion for them has seen her become a rescuer of the wild Kaimanawa horses. Vicki and her two sisters.. Kelly and Amanda.. have been on a mission to save as many of these wild animals as they can - and not just save them from the abbatoir - but to also turn these once un-manageable horses into skilled show jumpers. Vicki Wilson is at the Horse of the Year Show in Hastings this afternoon where she's competing.
2:30 Reading - After three weeks locked in irons in a cell in England - Archibald Baxter has won the respect of his guards, and when it is decided to send him to the battlefields in France, they cheer him and wish him well. Without any other clothes, Baxter has decided to stop taking off the uniform they've forced him to wear. But in today's reading from his book - We Will Not Cease' - Baxter tells them he will not drop his opposition to war, no matter what the consequences, in France or anywhere else.
2:45 Feature album - Girl - Pharrell Williams (2014)
3:10 Virtual World - Hamish MacEwan

3:30 Kidney's Wanted - David Steemson - Wanted, fresh kidneys for 600 New Zealanders waiting for a lifesaving kidney donor. South Auckland has the highest number of people with severe renal disease, and a national campaign is being launched there this month to boost the number of donors.

4:06 Michael Moynahan and Steve McCabe are on The Panel today: A year now since the killing of George Taiaroa near Atiamuri but no arrest. The extent to which you can prejudice a trial through publicity. Dealing to these 30 cats in Invercargill - do they really need to be dealt to and if so what is the best way to do it? Surprising benefits of left-handedness, obvious benefits of trading with China but how long will the golden weather last? Stealing Bluff oysters out of pottles in supermarkets and isn't that theft just as much as running out with a trolley? Speaking of supermarkets, do you like self-service or does it irk you there's no operator to make it easy for you? And the defence against being towed at night when you've parked in an empty business carpark while you go to the movies.
