1.15 How to say NO and Feel Good About It

It's only two little letters, N.O, and it can be one of the hardest thing to say. It can make us feel guilty and lead us to agreeing to things we regret later. So how can we say no, and feel good about it? And why is this so important for our relationships and health? Dr Ellen Hendriksen,  is a clinical psychologist at Boston University's Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders, and the host of the Savvy Psychologist podcasts.

1:25 Chris O'Doherty aka Reg Mombassa

New Zealand artist and musician, Chris O'Doherty aka Reg Mombassa, is in town. He was a founding member of the band Mental as Anything. He's probably best known for his almost cartoonish, vivid designs for surfwear company Mambo Graphics, that feature religious, political and popular culture themes. But he's also known for his landscapes. And tomorrow, his new book, Antipodean Scenery: Views from the eyes of a car will be launched in Auckland.

1.35 Critter Of The Week

Pimelea actea is a tiny, unloved shrubby plant that has a very narrow tolerance range. It can only live in the tiny dune-related swales or ‘slacks’, little depressions behind sand-dunes in the Manawatu area, and the species faces imminent extinction.

Not One, but two great artists on the week's New Zealand Live.  They are two of our most prolific composers too and today they'll be singing each others songs.  Their partnership formed when they arranged to put on a show for their friends at a Dunedin Hotel last year, but social media alerted the general public and the gig sold out in less than an hour.  Now they are about to embark on a "Tour Around Aotearoa" which we'll tell you all about this afternoon.
