On New Zealand Live this week, Americana/country-rock band Miles Calder & the Rumours, who have recently released their self-titled debut album.

It comes after a marathon two-year process and follows early success with their EP The Crossing Over, released in 2014, which was nominated for a Taite Music prize.
Led by singer-songwriter Miles Calder, the band brings the warm-reverb guitar tone and silky vocal harmonies of classic 70s folk rock/Americana to Calder’s heartfelt songs.
They have played numerous New Zealand festivals and support shows and their songs have received high praise and honorable mentions from the organisers of both the International Songwriting Competition and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
Miles Calder & The Rumours are touring the album around New Zealand throughout October, November and December.
