Bookmarks - Rob Mokaraka

Today's Bookmarks guest is playwright, actor and poet Rob Mokaraka. He's performing at the the Going West Books and Writers Festival in The Maori Sidesteps. The performance is inspired by the humour and music of Prince Tui Teka, Billy T James and their more modern contemporaries, The Modern Maori Quarter. The show charts the fortunes of five friends following their dream of a Maori show band. Rob Mokaraka co-wrote the play and he talks to Jesse about the play and his past struggles with mental health.
