Hollie Fullbrook – aka Tiny Ruins – is supporting US band Fleet Foxes for their two NZ concerts this summer. She chats to Jesse Mulligan and plays a new song 'Sparklers'.

Hollie and bandmate Cass Basil opened for Fleet Foxes last time they were here in 2012.
"It was a really big deal for us. We completely freaked out when we found out we were opening for them. It was great fun."
The next year, Hollie had just released her first album and was working at Auckland Central Library.
She says she was having a bit of a winge to a colleague about trying to juggle making music with a day job and he suggested she try transcendental meditation.
That led to a conversation about Twin Peaks director David Lynch – a big exponent of 'TM'.
Very early next morning she got a text from the colleague telling her that Lynch had tweeted about Tiny Ruins overnight: "It was like i'd psychically reached him."
A year later – thanks to Ella Yelich-O'Connor (Lorde) – Hollie flew to LA and visited his studio and spent a couple of days at Lynch's studio recording a song called 'Dream Wave' that was released on 7-inch vinyl.
Lynch was down to earth, sweet and very mysterious, she says.
Tiny Ruins tours the US and Canada with Marlon Williams next March and their next album is due for release mid-year.
