Ellen Read was born in London and came to New Zealand when she was about 10-years-old.
She's always done well at English in school, terribly in Maths. Ellen talks about her time in student media days as a journalist and editor to her position now at Fairfax.
Her favourite songs include Split Enz and Hunters and Collectors while she loved reading the book Married to a Bedouin.
Ellen's favourite movies include Gregory's Girl and Love Actually.
