Diana Wichel has won this year's Royal Society Te Apārangi Award for General Non-Fiction at the Ockham New Zealand book awards.
In her book Driving to Treblinka - A Long Search for a Lost Father the award-winning journalist writes of her journey to find her Polish Jew father who miraculously survived the holocaust.
However, he disappeared from her life when she was thirteen.
Diana talks about this personal story and her win at the Ockham awards, which she says was gobsmacking.
