The environmental cost of Cruise Ships

A single giant cruise ship has to keep its diesel engines running around the clock in order to power onboard facilities - generating as much nitrous oxide as nearly 700 continuously running buses.

We speak to AUT tourism professor Michael Lück about the tourism industry, emissions, and whether there needs to be a sea change in how we think about holidays.
