Making New Zealand Home: Martine Udahemuka

From Afternoons, 1:52 pm on 25 September 2019

Each week at this time we bring you stories from New Zealanders who were forced to leave their homelands and have resettled here.

Today we are speaking to Martine Udahemuka a former refugee from Rwanda about resettling in Palmerston North.

Martine has founded two initiatives to help other refugees who have arrived in New Zealand. One is LINK - Learn and Innovate with new Kiwis.

The other is called MentorShip - a mentoring platform for former refugees who have a specific goal in mind and need assistance solving some of the challenges they face.
