Covid-19 and greenhouse gas emissions

The Covid-19 crisis is causing a drop in global carbon dioxide emissions, and a decline in the global demand for energy.   

According to the International Energy Agency, the lower emissions means harmful greenhouse gas emissions could reduce by almost 8 percent this year, which would be the largest annual drop on record.

We speak to climate change researcher Professor James Renwick from Victoria University.
