Just over 30 years ago, two Swedish tourists went missing in the Coromandel during a tramping trip.
David Tamihere was convicted in 1990 of the murders of Urban Hӧglin and Heidi Paakkonen - and served 20 years - but he has always maintained his innocence.
Last month, it was announced that Tamihere's murder convictions have been referred back to the Court of Appeal.
