The Moths and Butterflies of NZ Trust is warning people to stop treating monarch butterflies as pets if they come across unwell or struggling ones.
Jacqui Knight is the Trust's secretary and talks about what they uncovered with people's behaviour while researching the impact of a parasite on the butterflies.
