50 years ago a group of New Zealand students travelled to China on a diplomatic mission.
It was 1971, and China was in the midst of a cultural revolution.
One of the students on that trip was Frank Hogan, who was studying law at the time. He talks to Jesse about the significance of the trip and how rare it was.
