The future of coastal transport may have arrived.
Kiwi company Ocean Flyer has just signed a $700 million dollar deal for 25 electric sea-gliders, which are, essentially, flying ferries.
They're looking to make passenger transport available for 2025, with multiple routes including one from Wellington to Christchurch that would take about an hour and cost 60 dollars per seat.
