Exciting times for Wellington central with the plans unveiled this week for the 188 million dollar upgrade of the city's library.
The design includes giving the building the required earthquake strengthening as well as a massive make over, incorporating more light and openness.
To talk about the struggle to save the building, the new design and the challenges making sure the library can stand up to any seismic activity, Architect Institute president, Judi Keith-Brown joins Wallace on the show.
