The Mongol Derby is an multi-horse endurance race that is considered the longest and toughest in the world. 45 competitors will cover 1000 kilometres of the wild Mongolian Steppe, testing their riding ability as well as their navigation and survival skills.
Sam Edney, who turns 21 just 4 days before the event, will be one of the youngest in the competition.
