The manu is right up there with roadies and BBQs as far as Kiwi summer traditions go, so the good people of Northland decided to honour it and crown a champion for the first time.
'The Manu Masters' took place in Russell on Saturday, where more than 30 contestants tried to impress a judging panel to take out cash prizes. Lead judge Kent Thwaites talks to Jesse about what makes a winning manu.
