The fact is every product we buy has to be researched, developed, perfected and tested by talented food scientists,
so today we wanted to learn a bit more about the work they do.
Our expert today is food technologist Alan Bulmer, who is the general manager of technical and strategy at Hawkins Watts.
He's been in the industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles.
