Around 90% of our schools use the streaming system, despite stacking evidence that proves it to be ineffective for students.
Some have also called it inherently racist.
Last year, delegates from the Post-Primary Teachers' Association unanimously voted to eliminate classroom streaming.
And now a plan has been announced to adopt a policy to end it completely by 2030.
