This week's critter is the endangered Fiordland skink, Oligosoma acrinasum - a sleek, dark-coloured skink that lives on the rocky shores of Fiordland.
Sun is at a premium in this part of the world, so when it pops out of the clouds, these skinks pile on top of each other to bask in its warm rays.
