A new study into the impact of the post-covid, half-price public transport initiative was released this morning.
The research - published by the University of Otago - examines the impact that fare cut had on public housing tenants in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
In the city's single fare zone, the scheme reduced an adult single trip to $1.30.
Participants in the trial were asked how this reduction impacted their use of public transport, and quality of life.
The study's author Dr Angela Curl talks to Mark.
