Rodger Fox was a heavyweight of the Aotearoa New Zealand jazz scene
For over five decades he led the Rodger Fox Big Band, championing young kiwi musicians on a global stage. In the process he recorded almost 50 albums!
Rodger was also instrumental to music education, helping set up the first jazz course at Wellington Polytechnic - now Massey university.
A few weeks ago he sadly passed away aged 71.
